in the summer of 1998 year, on the magazine NEWSWEEK's cover in 1999 year. signed Japanese indie record label BENTEN and recorded debut album YELLOW BANANA in 2000 year. tour in Japan in 2001 year, released the second album DI DI DI and tour in America in 2003 year, released album FOXY LADY in 2005 year, released album SHANG HAI and then dissolution of band in 2007 year, band reformed with new members in October 2010.

do you play shows and how do they look like?
we used to performed at SXSW of America. Marilyn Manson said that he had to come to our gig when we tour in America, our gig not be popular in Beijing as our fame, even though we are famous rock band in China.
what was the craziest show you’ve ever played ?
here has not craziest show, you will see the crazist show at next show.
what was the worst and why?
the first time show in SCREAM CLUB in WU DAO KOU in 1998 year, at that time three girls all are students of high school, never rehearse. we went to club mere wanna see other boys punk band's show. we temporary planed get on the stage, cause at that time here had not girls punk band, we were all excited and we didn't even know what we playing, totally mass up and crazy. the singer didnt know what does she singing, but audience happy too.
what are your future plans?

we had record company before, it's BENTEN, just this company took us out of china and tour in Japan and America.

SHANG HAI can behalf of CHINA for western, but SHANG HAI is too commercial! lack art and culture, mere is a side of China,
i still think Beijing is most fucking cool city.
